Bob Browning – Country Music & Western Swing

This album by Bob Browning is absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Just as the album title suggests, the songs here move effortlessly between swing tunes and classic country without feeling disjointed. Fans of Jeff Newman may recognize several of the tunes here as they were remixed and reused as rhythm tracks in some of Jeff’s instructional material.

The production is top notch, and the studio musicians do an amazing job at supporting Bob Browning singing at his very best. All of the cuts here put Bob’s vocal talent on full display, but none capture it better than San Antonio Champagne and The Last Letter, in my opinion.

Ernest Tubb, who Bob had the honor of working with professionally, wrote a few kind words about the album that were printed on the back cover.

This album was recorded at Hilltop Studio in Madison, Tennesse where Jeff Newman worked often as both a musician and a producer.
